The cup Jesus was given was written about and Jesus also prayed to the Father in Gethsemane that it would be taken away. The cup given him to drink was filled with the wrath of God, and Jesus drank it in our place for He lived a sinless life here on earth.
What does that he mean when the Apostle Paul writes this? Galatians 2:20. It’s actually very good.
Jesus’ letter to the church in Smyrna in Revelation 2:8-11 tells them they will be persecuted for following Him. But that they can persevere and keep their eyes on Him and the eternal reward of Heaven.

Luke 23:1-25 Jesus comes before Pilate then Herod and back to Pilate. Pilate gives in and sends Jesus to be crucified. Seems hopeless, but we know the hope that is to come on this first Sunday of Advent.
