What times are the Services and Bible Study? How long do they last?

The Sunday morning Bible Studies begin at 10 AM and last 45 minutes. ( See Bible Study page) The Sunday morning Worship Service starts at 11 AM (with musical prelude beginning a few minutes before that), and lasts a bit over an hour. The Sunday evening Worship Service starts at 6 PM and lasts an hour. (See Sunday Services Page)

Where do I park?

Our parking lot is an expanse of grassy lawn that’s fine to drive and park on. The most space is on the left side of the sanctuary, so pick a place you’re comfortable with and park there. There are Accessible Parking spaces by the sidewalk on the left side of the building next to the ramp.

Where do I enter?

The entrance to the sanctuary for worship is thru the main doors facing Lanes Church Rd.

Will I be singled out as a visitor in the service?

Absolutely Not! But we hope you will be greeted and welcomed by quite a few individuals before and after the service.

What are the Services like?

Preaching from the Bible is the main focus of the worship service. The music in the service ranges from traditional hymns accompanied by piano, to special arrangements sung by the Lanes Church Choir, to contemporary songs led by a small group singing and playing other instruments. (See Music page)

We believe there is power in praying to God, and know we need Him in everything we do. So, there will be several times of prayer within the service.
We also believe that offering a portion of our material blessings to God is a part of worship, so we do take up a collection. Ushers walk the aisles with the collection plates to give folks the opportunity to give. There is no push for or expectation of making donations. If no signal of some type is given the ushers that a person would like to give, they simply continue down the aisle.

How should I dress?

There is no formal dress code and there’s quite a variation in how folks dress, from suit & tie, to business casual, to casual in jeans. So please come as you are comfortable.

Is a Nursery provided?

Yes, there is a nursery provided during Sunday morning Bible Study and Worship Service. There is also a comfortable room off the left side of the sanctuary foyer. If a parent wants to take a child to an area outside the sanctuary, or if someone is physically uncomfortable sitting on a pew, they can be comfortable and still see and hear the services.
